1994-95 Scholarship given as a part of a research project between the PRIO and NTNU, financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Defense. The project emphasized the Nordic security environment in relation to conflicts concerning resources, environmental factors, nationalism and political government (e.g. the consequences of global democratization).

Ann Tickner (USC) worked as the chair, Simona Sharoni (Peace & Conflict Resolution Programme, American University) and George Lopez (Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, Notre Dame) were discussants. Catia Confortini (USC), Inger Skjelsbæk (PRIO), and myself were the presenters.
